On Thursday, June 13, Clarissa Martínez de Castro, Director of Immigration and Civic Engagement at NCLR (National Council of La Raza), will testify at a House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary hearing on H.R. 2278, the “Strengthen and Fortify Enforcement (SAFE) Act.” Martínez de Castro’s testimony will focus on the ways that this legislation will expand many of the wasteful and misguided enforcement policies that have caused fear and insecurity in communities across the country.
