WASHINGTON, D.C.—The more than 120,000 voters who make up Kansas’s Latino electorate are poised to play a deciding role in the state’s tight races for U.S. Senate and governor. As it stands, the margin of victory in both races is currently less than the total percentage of Latino voters in the state. However, to make a difference, Latinos must show up on Election Day.
Join NCLR (National Council of La Raza) and its Kansas City Affiliate El Centro as they call on Kansas’s Latino community to get out the vote. With just three weeks left before the election, the time is now to make our voices heard and show that while Latinos may be an emerging population in Kansas, they are politically powerful.
To RSVP for the event, contact Julian Teixeira at jteixeira@nclr.org or (202) 776-1812.
